A swimming pool patio is the only remaining part of a
luxury home that was destroyed in the Scripps Ranch district of San
Diego, California, October 27, 2003. Three huge wildfires continued to
burn unabated in San Diego County today after claiming at least 14
lives, destroying more than 160 homes and forcing the evacuation of
