A fire-destroyed luxury home lies in a cul-de-sac with
all the other homes left intact in the Scripps Ranch area of San Diego,
California, October 27, 2003. Three huge wildfires continued to burn
unabated in San Diego County today after claiming at least 14 lives,
destroying more than 160 homes and forcing the evacuation of thousands
