Partial Lunar Eclipse -- June 4, 2012

I had to drive about 30 miles east of San Diego to get above the marine layer in order to see the lunar eclipse. Initially it extended up to about 2,500 feet, and so I exited the I-8 freeway at the first exit above the clouds and took photos for about 45 minutes after first umbral contact. Then the clouds started reaching me, and so I drove a mile east, which put me above 3,000 feet and above the clouds again.
